We believe art has the power to connect people, celebrate individuality, and bring beauty to everyday life.

The father has a red beard, glasses, and is wearing a plaid shirt. The children include a girl with long curly red hair and a girl with long straight light brown hair, both smiling, and two young boys with short hair, one with blonde and the other with light brown hair, both smiling.

Hello !

Meet Emily — the creative force behind EQ Pottery, where function meets beauty in every handcrafted piece. A passionate artist and dedicated educator, Emily brings a deep sense of care, patience, and purpose to everything she creates. By day, Emily works as a special education teacher, guiding and empowering students to be defined by their assets, not their deficits. She is also a proud wife and mother, as well as a devoted gymnastics coach; roles that reflect her values in growth and community.

Emily’s pottery is rooted in functionality. It is made to be used and loved, while bringing beauty and joy to life’s everyday moments. Her work celebrates the tactile, the personal, and the beautifully imperfect.

Emily recently joined the Willmar Area Arts Council, deepening her commitment to supporting and uplifting the local arts community. She is currently in the exciting development stages of opening her own storefront that will feature her handcrafted pottery, as well as offering an art gallery and inclusive pottery classes designed for all ages and ability levels.

Through EQ Pottery, Emily is building more than just ceramics - she’s creating a space where art, accessibility and community come together.
